History of Colours Salon & Day Spa
Colours Salon was founded in 1993 by siblings, Rita and Phil. The business started in a small semi-detached house about a mile away, with only eight stylists, one manicurist and one esthetician. Two and a half years later they purchased the building where they had previously been employed by Chez Jodi and more than doubled their size.
This location has been a salon since the early 70’s. It began as Harlow & Bogart, then became Chez Jodi. The location at 2436 York Road has been Colours Salon and Day Spa since 1995.
Rita has been featured numerous times in Baltimore Magazine’s, “Women In Business” issue. Colours Salon has raised more than $700,000 for breast cancer research through a yearly golf tournament and other fundraising events.

Our Leveled Pricing System
Colours Salon & Day Spa employs a level system for our service providers. There are two goals that are accomplished with our level system. The first being to provide our team with a career path of growth and achievements. The second is to provide multiple options for our guests to choose from in order to fit their specific needs as well as their budgets.
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment. We schedule appointments according to our specialists’ availability and specialty. If you are running late, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. Arriving late will likely limit the time allocated for your service; it will lessen the effectiveness and most importantly your pleasure and enjoyment. As a courtesy to all clients our treatments are completed as scheduled. Cancellations of all salon services require a 24-hour notice. Thank you for your consideration and understanding. Gratuities are not included in the price of services and are greatly appreciated. Suggestions are always welcome.
