Anne Marie SheridanMy specialty is color and style. I’m particularly interested in new looks that come out with each season. And, I enjoy learning about how products and styles evolve over time. Part of what fascinates me about being a stylist is that I get to meet people from all walks of life. Young or old, male or female, all of our clients bring something new and interesting to learn. The beauty business is a people business. In order to be successful you must like dealing with people, and I do. One thing people don’t know about me is that I like to cook. New recipes or old—I like to try different things. It’s really fun to try out new recipes during the holidays! I’m originally from Catonsville and I now reside in Middle River with my husband, Brian and our dog, Bailey. |

Susan LincolnI have been doing nails for 35 years, and for 18 years with Colours. Wow! It’s hard to believe—I’ve been doing nails at this location for 28 years. When you’re a manicurist, you meet new people and learn new things every day. That’s what I love about this business. And, having people who return to you year after year, that means a lot to me. Although I studied Business and Finance in college, I like working in a beauty salon more. It’s just more fun! One day, I might retire and return home to the Philippines. Wherever I retire, you will find me on the beach. I am originally from Manila in the Philippines. I now reside in Rossville, Maryland with my husband. |

Jennifer CostaGel polish, acrylics, pedicures, manicures, waxing and facials. I specialize in pedicures and gel polish. My favorite part of the pedicure is the massage. It relaxes me as much as my clients! I got into this industry because I want people to feel good about their hands and feet, while making them as relaxed as I can. Something you don’t know about me is that my obsession with nail polish started when I was three. All I wanted for Christmas was nail polish. I also have an obsession with colorful, sparkly stuff, so I taught myself how to make jewelry, to do scrapbooking, and how to knit and crochet. I’m like a kid in a candy store when I in the nail polish department of a store or in a craft store. When I look into the future, I’m sure that many new challenges await me. Right now, I’m just taking it one day at a time. I’m sure that I will always be in the beauty industry one way or the other, because I love people. I enjoy my work and the people I meet every day. My hometown is Huntington, New York. I moved to Maryland seven years ago. I love it here. It’s been a wonderful change for me. I didn’t know anyone, but coming to Colours was like coming home to family. I live in Dundalk with my husband of nine years and four pets: Nicki, our dog, and three cats, Coco, Tino and Reggie. |

Teri KlineI am proud to say that I’ve been a professional stylist for nearly 30 years. I have invested my time in staying up to date on color treatments and styles to keep my work fresh. In the hair business it’s easy to learn something new, and I challenge myself to learn something new every day. The reason I stay invested in education is because I care about my clients. They come to me because they want the best in color and style and I endeavor to deliver just that. I’m proud of my work, and I believe that it shows. I want my clients to be happy when they finish their appointments. You might be surprised to learn that when I’m not at the salon, I’m outdoors as much as possible—especially the beach or the mountains. It refreshes my spirit to be in the great outdoors, and I go there as often as I can. I am a proud resident of the state of Maryland. |

Carrie WalkoFor 14 years I have been producing great cuts, color and style for men and women, and, yes, I like doing children too. I especially like to educate my clients about how they can take care of their new styles at home. Not everyone is a professional stylist, and they may not even have all of the tools that we have for curling, flattening and styling at home. So, I do my best to make sure that they have styles and cuts that work for them when they walk out the door to work or play. When I have time away from the salon, you will find me at the beach, or any where there is water. It relaxes me. I live in Timonium with my husband and our dog. We enjoy our family and just love being together. |

Tori ArmstrongI have been a professional stylist for more than five years. The reason I am a stylist is because it is a business that combines art and design. The best stylist is one who follows his or her artistic instincts, and that is what I try to do.
